According to a report by the Indian newspaper Midday, several sources suggest that Sajal Ali has been cast in a new romantic period drama directed by Hanu Raghavapudi.
The reports indicate that Sajal Ali will play the lead female role, portraying a romantic interest opposite Prabhas. The entertainment website Bollywood Marriages further supported this news, which highlighted that Sajal Ali, known as one of the highest-paid actresses in Pakistan, has been cast as the heroine in the film.
Prabhas is currently filming his 25th project, which features a South Korean actress in an action-packed role. After this film is completed, he will begin work on the historical romance project with Sajal Ali.
As of now, she has not issued any official statement regarding her involvement in the Indian film. If she does star in the project, it will mark her first leading role in an Indian film. However, she previously appeared in the 2017 Bollywood movie Mom, where she played the daughter of the late legendary actress Sridevi.
