For the first one and a half years, she endured relentless physical abuse. Even when she was seven months pregnant, her husband’s brutality continued. Juggan Kazim recalled a particularly traumatic episode when her husband stripped her naked and threw her out of their apartment. Her neighbors had to cover her with a blanket as she stood exposed and vulnerable.

Juggan Kazim drew a chilling parallel between her experience and the tragic murder of Noor Mukadam, saying she feared her first husband could have killed her similarly. She expressed her fear of dying a humiliating death, acknowledging that if she had not left her first marriage, she might have met a tragic end.
