In a recent interview with the Indian entertainment portal Pink Villa, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan shared insights into his strong ties with Bollywood’s Kapoor family and other prominent figures in Indian cinema, despite not having watched Ranbir Kapoor’s latest film, Animal.
Fawad Khan, celebrated in both Pakistan and India, remarked on his ongoing relationships with Bollywood personalities including filmmakers Karan Johar and Shikan Batra and several producers. He highlighted that his interactions with these colleagues span from social media chats to phone conversations, with occasional plans to meet up.
The actor, known for his roles in cross-border films like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and Khoobsurat with Sonam Kapoor, is set to appear as a psychiatrist in his forthcoming web series Barzakh. He expressed enthusiasm about his new role and the unique storyline of the series.
Furthermore, Fawad Khan commented on the evolution of the entertainment industries in both countries. He noted that while Indian dramas have shown improvement, moving away from traditional soap opera formats, Pakistani dramas continue to excel in quality, placing Pakistan ahead in this particular arena.
Despite recommendations from friends and peers to watch Animal, Fawad Khan admitted he hasn’t seen the film due to time constraints but plans to watch it on Netflix soon. Fawad Khan remains a beloved figure in India, and there are rumors of his return to Bollywood in an upcoming project, though the actor has yet to confirm any new film commitments.
