Plot Of the Story and Reviews
The first episode that premiered this week seems well-executed and practical so far. Therefore, this drama serial is based on the novel written by Rahat Jabeen. Also, it is directed by Sheherazade Sheikh.
The drama starts by introducing Rija (Maha Hasan), who has a developmental or mental disorder. However, nothing has been stated about her situation in detail. Therefore, her appearance looks like she is autistic. Many dramas are highlighting such characters, and it is great to see the embodiment. If portrayed well, these onscreen representations generate public information and help viewers recognize such cases in our society.
Rija is the baby of the house loved by all, especially Sami (Ali Rehman), Anoushay (Madiha Imam). Also, she is loved by Samina Ahmed, the lovable character who is the mother of everyone in the home.
Sami and Jamaal (Syed Jibran) are siblings. Therefore Anoushay is their maternal cousin. Her mother died, while her father (Saif Hasan) is a careless tabla Nawaz. Her father’s area of interest is women, which also brings embarrassment and dishonor to the family. Rija and Anoushay, both girls, are raised by Sami and the mother of Jibran. In short, this is a story of very intricate relationships and personalities living under one roof.
Sami and Anushay are clearly in love and look like perfect matches. Both are progressive, sensitive, and loving characters. However, Jamal is a bitter member of the family who seems to have rude intentions towards his female cousins, especially Anusha, who is anxious about his presence and when he asks her to offer him tea in the room. He still feels hesitant to say.
Jamal has also been tolerant and frivolous about Reja on several occasions, which shows how family members treat members with different abilities.
Although the play highlights the love and support found in a joint family, it also addresses evils through a character like Jamal, which has been a constant source of frustration for Anusha. A concept is also introduced that women can deal with everything with patience. When Sami tells her mother that Anusha is not well, she tells him that she will take care of it because women are like that.
The play also introduces us to Denmark, played by Harris Waheed. For now, we’re not sure what will add to his story. However, we know that the marriage is being discussed, and he ignores a girl who is interested in him, and he Listens to comments.
So far, every actor appears in the role and feels very quick to make a decision. Time will tell how the story exposes and if it is worth watching.
