Sanam Saeed Introduction:

Sanam Saeed is a British born Pakistani leading actress and top model of the Pakistan media industry. She also possesses talents of singing and featured in Coke Studio as well. Sanam’s family consisted of her father who is was an interior designer and her mother who was an art teacher. Her siblings consist of one brother and one sister, (Adnan Saeed and Amira Saeed) The was from a multi-ethnic family as her father is a Punjabi and her mother was a Memon

A graduate of proper film and theater education, Sanam made her television debut in 2010 in a romantic drama named ‘Daam’. After a few more projects she hit high as she had her first commercial success with the 2013 romantic series Zindagi Gulzar Hai, In which she played the female lead role as Kashaf. Her role and drama was an instant success to still date are still watched nationally and internationally.

At the tender age of six, Sanam and her family returned back to Pakistan. Sanam continued her studies and joined Bay View High School, Karachi from where she completed her O Levels. After which, she did her college from the institute of L’Ecole College where she completed her A’level. Sanam by education and profession wanted to become an actor and model she had the passion for it since childhood as she showed her talents in school and college play and theater as well.

In order to get the formal education of theater and film she decided to further continue her higher studies from BNU College Lahore and from there, she got achieved her bachelor’s degree IN ACTIG. Surprisingly, she is amongst one of the very few actresses in Pakistan who studied proper education of filming and theater in order to pursue a career in acting, and today she is one of the blooming stars of the Pakistani media industry.

Sanam Saeed CAREER

Saeed after completing her education in acting and doing several theaters for the experience. She later initiated her acting career in Pakistani media Industry with a supporting role in the 2010 ARY Digital drama serial, Daam an adaption of Umera Ahmad’s novel Daam Directed by Mehreen Jabbar, Saeed played the role of Fiza a “selfish and arrogant girl” who develops feeling for her sister-in-law’s brother, which later causes problems for her.

The coming year she played the lead female role in Adnan Ahmed’s Hum TV serial Mera Naseeb, along with Syra Yousuf, Imran Aslam, and Imran Abbas Naqvi. She played the role of Shazia, an outspoken bold and rebellious girl, she was praised for playing the role perfectly.

Sanam did a huge list of dramas after gaining recognition in Mera Naseeb. But the reason for her overnight name and success was her serial Zindagi Gulzar Hai which was a Sultana Siddiqui’s romantic drama an adaption of Umera Ahmad’s novel of the same name. This serial gained Sanam a chance to co-starring with Pakistans highest-paid actor Fawad Khan. Saeed was cast as Kashaf Murtaza, a very sensible and matured girl, slightly obnoxious because of her conditions as she comes from middle-class family background. Who hated the liberty and comfort the rich had. Overall the pairing of the duo along with strong supporting actors it caused great hype over the drama aired and it proved a major success nationally and internationally. It got her 3 Awards as Best Actress and also excelled her name in the Industry.

Further on, she did her next drama serial, Diyar-e-Dil, it not only the biggest success of 2015, but also one of the most successful serials of all time in Pakistan and this drama gained foreign recognition as well, it was Directed under the superb direction of Haseeb Hassan, and based on Farhat Ishtiaq’s novel of the same name, The cast included of Maya Ali, Mikaal Zulfiqar, Osman Khalid Butt, and Abid Ali.

Sanam portrayed the role of Ruhina Behroze Khan, a young middle-class girl who was in love her rich class fellow Behroze Khan (played by Zulfiqar), against his Fathers will. They get married and struggle because of finance because to marry her Behroze had to leave his home and in these conditions, Rubina gives birth to their daughter a new rivalry in both families.

In 2016 she devoted herself solely to work and she was seen in four Pakistani films. She made her first-ever film debut in Nasir Khan’s romantic thriller Bachaana with Mohib Mirza.

Sanam also featured in Anjum Shahzad and Sarmad Sehbai’s blockbuster movie Mah-e-Meer with the cast of Fahad Mustafa and Iman Ali. This role is said to be the first-ever “glamorous” role of her career.

Further, She then appeared in a supporting role of  Mehreen Jabbar’s film ‘Dobara Phir Se’ opposite to Adeel Hussain and Hareem Farooq, which earned her an award for Best supporting actress (film) at the 16th Lux Style Awards.

In 2018, she compelled the viewers with her exceptional performance as she played the younger sister Zara, in critically acclaimed film Cake.
