Saba Qamar is one of Pakistan’s most famous and generously paid actresses. She joined showbiz when she was just 19. She joined the industry because of her friend as she was the only person who believed in her talent. And one of the most eminently known actresses and highest-paid television personalities, Saba Qamar made her first acting debut with a role in the television series ‘Mein Aurat Hoon’ back in 2005.
Qamar is recognized nationally and internationally she is the recipient of several awards, including the Lux Style Award, Hum Award, and a Filmfare Award nomination for her role in her hit movie ‘Hindi Medium‘ She was honoured by the Government of Pakistan with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2012 and Pride of Performance in 2016. Saba Qamar was born as Sabahat Qamar Zaman on April 5, 1984, in Hyderabad, Sindh. When she was only 3 years old she lost her dad. Her mother alongside six kids came to Gujranwala. Saba Qamar’s adolescence was spent in Gujranwala. She is a Pakistani film and television performing actress. Saba received her initial education from Gujranwala. Afterwards, they migrated to Lahore to seek her advanced studies. Saba Qamar’s family is currently located in Karachi.
Saba Qamar Zaman Professional Career:
Saba Qamar made her acting debut with a role in the television sequential Mein Aurat Hoon (2005). In 2007, Saba Qamar showed up in ATV’s drama serial Khuda Gawah which was the remaking of 1992 Indian film. In 2010, She showed up in a supporting job of Suraya in Hum TV’s pre segment television series Dastaan, an adjustment of Razia Butt’s epic novel Bano. She was seen alongside Ahsan Khan, Sanam Baloch, and Fawad Khan. Drama series ended up being the leap forward for her and she won the Best TV Actress trophy at the Pakistan Media Awards (2010).
Saba Qamar has played the role of Fatima Jinnah and the series was a tribute to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Saba Qamar’s introductory debut movie was Aina (2013) alongside Faysal Qureshi for which Saba was selected for Best Actress at Tarang Housefull Awards. Later she performed a rockstar Tara in the travel parody Lahore Se Aagey (2016). The film was positioned among the highest-grossing Pakistani movies ever with a gross of Rs21.60 crores.
She made her debut, in Saket Chaudhary’s film Hindi Medium (2017), alongside Irrfan Khan in the Hindi film industry. The film turned into a sleeper hit in India and China with the accumulation of ₹334.36 crores. Later Saba Qamar showed up in Maat where she performed the role of childish, self-fixated Saman alongside Adnan Siddiqui and Aamina Sheikh. In January 2018, she appeared in a photoshoot for Mahid Khawar’s creation “Padmavat” where she dressed up like Rani Padmavati. In May 2018, she showcased golden bridal couture for designer Nilofer Shahid. She was the showstopper for Rimple and Harpreet Narula’s first Pakistan show on ‘Shaan-E-Pakistan’. On 10 December 2018, she walked the ramp for designer Uzma Babar’s collection Umsha on Bridal Couture Week. Saba Qamar became the ambassador for several brands including Lux Pakistan, Sunsilk, Dalda, Ufone, and Tapal.

After the success of Mein Sitara and Hindi Medium, she was cited by critics as one of the finest actresses in Pakistan. In April 2020, she started her Youtube channel and released mini-series Isolation based on the situation of Lockdown due to COVID-19. She further raised her hands for collecting COVID relief funds for poor minorities and transgender communities with Ali Zafar‘s charity trust “Ali Zafar foundation”.Qamar revealed through her YouTube channel about her relationship in which she was engaged for eight years and parted ways with him. She described it as an offensive relationship.
In 2020, Saba Qamar will next collaborate with Sarmad Khoosat for film Kamli, and will also star in Saqib Khan’s debut film, titled Ghabrana Nahi Hai.
