Jacqueline Fernandez Biography

Jacqueline Fernandez (born on August 11, 1985, in Manama, Bahrain) is a Sri Lankan actress and model. She won Miss Sri Lanka 2006 and represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. She graduated in Mass Communication from the University of Sydney; Jacqueline Fernandez worked as a television journalist in Sri Lanka. She currently works in Bollywood and has received an international award from the Indian Film Academy and the Best Female Debut Award for Aladin in 2010.

Jacqueline Fernandez was born on Aug 11, 1985, in Manam, Bahrain. Her father Elroy Fernandez, a former singer of a Sri Lankan band, is married to Kim Fernandez, a former flight attendant. Jacqueline has an older sister Amanda Cerny, two older brothers Warren and Ryan Fernandez.

Education

She studied at Sacred Heart School, Bahrain, and still has a taste for culture and modern languages. She is fluent in English, Hindi and then went to study in Australia at the University of Sydney for mass communication.

Career

After her graduation Jacqueline Fernandez started working on TV as a presenter then she presented herself to Miss Sri Lanka in 2006 which she won the crown, she represented her country at Miss Universe 2006. She studied in a theater school “John School of Acting” then was offered a role in Bollywood in the film Aladdin in 2009.

Jacqueline Fernandez is now a Bollywood actress who has more than 20 films to her credit. She is also a model and has opened a restaurant in Sri Lanka “Kaema Sutra”.
